British Investigators arrests AFRO GEM Cocaine Chief

Last Thursday 16th December, 2011 landing of a container load of baby pampers stocked with cocaine has giving sleepless nights to Senior Police personnel and investigators. The British team of investigators has inspired them further to dig and dive into the matter and bring to the public domain the importers and owners of the container that left South America for Sierra Leone for its final destination and Market, which is Europe and America

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Francis Munu, Morie Lenghor, Richard Moigueh, Karo Kamara and a host of others reportedly spent sleepless night at the Criminal Investigation Department(CID) on Monday mapping out strategies  to apprehend the owners of the consignment.

Sources say this is not the first time that containers load of illegal and contraband substances have transited  at the Queen Elizabeth 11, but the current container that is now the subject of investigation may put a brief stop to the transit strategy by the importers as collective efforts by investigators and informants are reportedly on the high side. The container, sources say left South America onboard the Maresk Shipping Company Vessel with a consignee name as Mohammed Kamara. Both the name and address  giving to complete the shipping process has been established as fake.

Monday sleepless night by Police Officers investigating the importation of the contraband good is begining to pay –off. Meanwhile, a Nigerian national popularly known as Sonny of Afro Gem Company, 25 Rawdon Street fronting as a legitimate business outfit has been rounded up by Police and now spending time at the Transnational   Organized Crime Unit at Murray Town, assisting Police with relevant information regarding the pampers-cocaine discovery at the  Queen Elizabet Quay 11.

Including Sonny are other Sierra Leoneans that have been round up by Police, who are also helping the investigators.
