Sequel to SLFA Election: British National detained For Assault…Rodney Michael fan spits on Johansen Coach

There are plans to frustrate the ambition of Mrs. Aisha Johansson the country’s only female football sponsor and owner of a Football Club that is making impact both locally and internationally from contesting for the position of President of the Sierra Leone Football Association. (SLFA)

Since she disclosed her intention at a Press Conference for running for this important office, she knows no peace. If she is not maligned by supporters of another Presidential Candidate, she would be intimidated with words and her personality degraded to make her look less significant in society

The plans are executed by both Sierra Leoneans and foreign nationals whom reports state are benefiting from this diabolical enterprise to reduce Mrs. Johansson to the minimum. Over the Weekend the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Graig Bellany Foundation did not hide his emotion and allowed it to behave ungentle manly, the type of behaviour he would not put up in the United Kingdom among his peers, let alone in the Football Association in the United Kingdom.

A clear show of racism and discrimination were evident in his behaviour when he allegedly spate on  John Keister, Head Coach of FC Johansson.

A lawyer from the B&G Law Firm told this medium that the firm is representing Graig Bellany Foundation, where Tim Kellow is the Chief Executive Officer in the event that criminal charges are slammed on him, but what was not explained is whether the B&G Law Firm is representing Tim Kellow as an individual Defendant or using money from the foundation to pay his legal fees and not the foundation that has committed no offence.

Over the Weekend, officials from the British High Commission in Sierra Leone rushed to the Lumley Police Station to secure bail for their compatriot, Tim Kellow. Police say the Craig Bellamy Foundation Chief Executive Officer spent few hours in Police custody after caution statement was obtained from him.

It was on Saturday when the Head Coach of FC Johansen, John Keister went to the Roy’s Restaurant at Lumley Beach to entertain his friends. According to the report, Keister was on his way out of the Restaurant when he saw Tim Kellow and three others about to gain entrance into the Restaurant. Little did Keister realize that this time round as it approaches the SLFA Presidential election he was no more in the good books of his one-time friend when he extended courtesy to him and was expecting the usual gentleman’s response.

Tim Kellow did not see him this time round as his friend or colleague, but as an individual in a different camp, which he demonstrated in his response and subsequently informed him that he is supporting Rodney Michael. This message was a shock to John Keister, especially when there was no discussion on the subject he introduced as a response to his greetings.

Bystanders and customers at the Roy’s Restaurant were astonished to hear Tim Kellow showering praises on Rodney Michael as the best Candidate for SLFA that can take football to the unknown. “Rodney has been supporting football, coaches and referees,” He was quoted to have said and went to the extent of questioning the support of Madam Isha Johansen on Youth Football. “Isha is just there to keep kids and change their dates of birth on their passports,” the British National alleged. This accusation did not go down well with John Keister, who telephoned Mrs Isha Johansson and explained what was going on and how Tim Kellow is lashing out on her.

This is not the first time that Tim Kellow has been making such wild allegations against Mrs. Isha Johansson.  From Roy Restaurant, they moved to the Atlantic Beach Bar, as these entertainment centres are located in the same proximity, when John Keister went closer to him to enquire as to why he was humiliating his boss and making all sorts of unfounded allegations against her , just when the SLFA election round the corner. “Such allegation, John Keister said is affecting my reputation and career as Head Coach of F.C.Johansson”. If John Keister had got any signal that the British National would  behave the way he did for the sake of Rodney Michael, he would not have confronted him and by the time he concluded expressing his concern Tim Kellow allegedly spate on his face publicly. Police officers present at the scene alleged that they also suffered similar humiliation when Kellow’s salivia scattered on them. He was arrested and dragged to the Lumley Police Station where he was detained for few hours until workers at the British High Commission arrived at the station to secure his bail.

According to Lawyer Hardy Maccauley of the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC), who is also a member of the B&G.Law Firm, they have advised Tim Kellow to maintain silence and give chance to the Police to carry out their investigation. The Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Lumley Police Station Mr. Kabbah has explained that a medical report was issued to John Keister, which they are expecting him to return to the Police Station after he would have been examined by a Medical Personnel at the Connaught Hospital.

“The behaviour of Tim Kellow is not only racist, but uncivilized for which he should be punished” A customer of the Atlantic Restaurant remarked. Police sources say a charge of Assault may not be too far to slam on him as there is no provision in our law books for racism or racial behaviour. Since the establishment of the Graig Bellany Foundation in Sierra Leone, there has been no significant impact made on Youth Football in the country, despite the big name. It shares offices on the same building occupied by Mercury International and the Chief Executive Officer Tim Kellow is reportedly spending most of his time around the Beach having fun (See next edition)
