Former Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Sierra Leone, Joseph Ganda and Reverend Father Nabbie are reported to have fled the heightened spate of robbery that now characterized the township of Serabu in the Bumpe Chiefdom, Bo District which is the natal home of the runaway Archbishop.

Principal of the Catholic Junior Secondary School in Serabu , Patrick Nyobono, who is on leave,  explained that unidentified thieves recently invaded the catholic church and made away with a wall fan, buckets and several other items worth millions of Leones. Mr. Nyobono revealed that the thieves raided Reverend Nabbie home and carted away his brand new motor bike, computer and other valuable items; a situation which he said scared the priest and even the former archbishop Ganda.

The catholic church, he went on, is now going without an officiating priest and Sunday masses are now conducted by the church elders.
“The damning action of the robbers sent shock waves among residents of the town “Nyobono stated and some residents of the township, in an interview, pointed accusing fingers on members of the church whom, he alleges were aware of the valuable items in the church and at the residence of the Catholic priest.
