As 2 Lawyers storm Police station…. Nurse Stevens to be put on bail!

Nurse Phyllis Parju Stevens, who has been in custody for the past ten days at the East End Police Station for allegedly Child stealing, would be put on Police bail today and ready to appear in court.

According to the Line Manager of the East End Police Division, Inspector Benson Williams on Wednesday 14th September 2016, the suspect will be put on Police bail and the file forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice.

He went further to note that he is not in any position to give information about the relationship of the suspect with that of late President Siaka Stevens, when asked by this medium. The Line Manager furthered that, they are investigating the matter of alleged child stealing, and not her personal life.

Inspector Benson Williams revealed that the matter will definitely go to court as the investigation has already been concluded with the final statement from the suspect.

It must be noted that during the interview process with the Line Manager, two lawyers from Betts and Berewa: Aruna Bundu Conteh Esq and Magnus French Esq whose head of Chamber is Chairman Elvis M.B Kargbo, were at the East End Police Division pleading for their client: Nurse Phyllis Parju Stevens to be put on Police bail until the matter is ready to be charged to court as she has already spent ten days in custody.

The Line Manager told them that, she would be put on bail and the DPP will give advice as the file will be forwarded to him. The 2 lawyers Aruna Bundu Conteh Esq and Magnus French Esq said publicly at the Police Station that Standard Times has already concluded that the lady is guilty of the offence and after the matter, they will take action against Standard Times.

As the writer left the Police Station to do his work, the two Lawyers: Aruna Bundu Conteh Esq. and Magnus French Esq. summoned this writer to their chamber, Betts and Berewa at Wilberforce Street Freetown where Lawyer Aruna Bundu Conteh told this writer that their boss, Lawyer Elvis Kargbo should have given them advice to talk to me not to publish anything concerning the matter.
